SCHOOL NEWS

 
  • Honors Night is next Thursday, May 2nd.  It will be televised live online.  If you have family or friends that can't attend, they can watch from their computers.  www.playonsports.com and click Cass High School 2013 Honors Night.
  • Special Olympic Buddies: Please come by Mrs. Slye's room and check her door to see if name is on list and to get a permission form.
  • Basketball is selling shaved ice at the powder puff game this Friday.  Cost is $2 for one flavor.
  • Powder Puff football game is this Friday. Cost is $1 to go to game.  See the Senior Girls beat the Junior Girls.
  • All Library Books are due this Friday! No more Check outs.

 

 


Athletic News

  • Tennis: The Colonels Tennis finished 2-1 in the 7AAAA Region Tournament to secure the Region's #3 seed for the State Tournament. The Boys record stands at 10-5 and gives them a two-season run of 22-8. They will play at Chamblee Charter in the first round of the State Playoffs next week.
    The Lady Colonels also went 2-1 defeating NW Whitfield and Lafayette to also secure a 3-seed in the State Tournament. The Lady Colonels have an 8-8 record and will also travel to Chamblee Charter next week for the State Tournament.
  • Girls Soccer:  Lady Colonels defeated Lafayette 3-2 last night, this win secures the girls a spot in the state playoffs.  Mallary Hedden scored the first goal on a penalty kick. Mackenzy McAbee scored the second goal with an assist by Camey Kirkland. Camey Kirkland scored our final goal with an assist by Mallary Hedden.
  • Baseball: Colonels defeated Cedartown 7-1.  Dylan Williams received the win by going 5 scoreless innings and Chris Hill finished up the final 2 innings.  Brandon Etheridge, Hunter Southern, and Alex Yauslin all recorded 2 hits apiece. Both Chaz Wilson and Alex Yauslin had solo homeruns.
