Wireless Network

For Non-Bartow County Laptops

In order for the wireless network to work more efficiently for the Bartow County users the Technology Department has had to make changes to the "Guest" wireless network. This is the wireless that Non-Bartow County laptops connect to. The following steps will need to be taken to connect your Non-Bartow County laptop to the wireless network. This may not be the exact steps for every brand of laptop but should be similar.

Right-click the wireless network icon in the lower right corner of your screen,

Click View Available Wireless Networks.

Double click on the Unknown network. Enter the name BCSS-Guest.

For Bartow County Laptops

The Technology Department has made another change to improve the wireless network. As a result of this change your Bartow County wireless laptop will need to be started up using a network cable connected to the wired network. If you have a wired network connection available please feel free to connect this to your laptop. All you will need to do is connect the cable, turn on the laptop and login in. Once it completes the login then shut down.
