How to apply:
The Human Resources Department will conduct background checks for Custodian and School Food Service substitutes on Tuesday mornings at 8:30 a.m.; 65 Gilreath Road, Cartersville, GA 30121.
You will need to bring the following documents with you:

Two forms of ID (Drivers License, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate or Passport)

$50 money order made payable to BCBOE. This is to have your fingerprints processed.
Job Descriptions:
Custodian: Keep school in clean and orderly condition. Mop, buff and wax school floors. Empty trash in offices and classrooms, vacuum, and clean and sanitize restrooms on a daily basis. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or principal.
School Food Service: Cleans utensils, equipment, storage and food preparation areas to maintain sanitary conditions. Support the preparation, cooking and serving of food to provide students and staff with quality food. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or principal.
Skills: Ability to work independently without supervision and follow safety guidelines related to the job. Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, kneel and stand on a regular basis. Must be able to lift/carry fifty (50) pounds.
Other Requirements: Must have reliable transportation. Must have prompt and regular attendance.
