The Georgia Scholar Program recognizes seniors who have met the following criterion:

·   1360 M/V SAT or 31 ACT at one test administration,

·   registered voter if 18 years old before 3/1/2012,

·   3.75 non-weighted GPA,

·   3 competitive interscholastic activities,

·   leadership in 2 school activities

·   and leader in 2 different youth activities.

Seniors who are eligible need to see his/her counselor before March 5^th.

The first annual VISINE^® STUDENTS WITH VISION™ Scholarship Program

is offering one-time $5,000 scholarships to students who have demonstrated a clear vision or goal for their future . High school seniors and current college students with a minimum GPA of 2.8 may submit an online application beginning February 15, 2012 . The deadline to apply is April 16, 2012 .

VISINE^® STUDENTS WITH VISION™ Scholarship Program recipients are selected based on academic achievement, school and community involvement, financial need and demonstrated vision or goal.

The Etowah Foundation Scholarship application is available on their website www.etowah.org . This year they prefer all students to apply online rather than with a paper application. This is a local scholarship so don't miss out! The deadline to apply is April 1^st . Please make your transcript request in guidance by March 16^th . FAFSA is required for this scholarship.

The Metro Atlanta Relocation Council (MARC) is pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity for high school seniors who have relocated with their families to the Atlanta area in the last four years.  Please find attached application information and qualification requirements.  The application and additional information about MARC can be found at http://www.marcatlanta.org/resources_community.cfm

Applications for the Bethel Memorial Scholarship to the Georgia Institute of Technology are available in guidance. This is a $1000 scholarship to a qualified young man entering Ga. Tech fall of 2012.

Students must submit the written application and official transcript before April 15^th .

REQUIREMENTS:

The applicant should be recommended by a member of Beta Epsilon chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa. Mrs. Janet Robison is a member.

Only one scholarship is given per year.  In the event of multiple applicants, an Alpha Delta Kappa committee is responsible for selecting one entry.

Applicant must:

• Be a graduating senior:
• Have a 3.0 or B academic average or better
• Plan to attend a college or university

The application must submit the following letters from:

• One certified employee working in the applicant's school system
• A school counselor (transcript and attendance verification)
• A member of Beta Epsilon chapter

Applicant must submit an original and two copies of documentation, including the following:

• Complete Application
• High School Transcript
• Recommendations
• Attendance Verification

Scholarship monies will be given to the student and verification of college use must be provided.  Any unused funds will be returned to the Beta Epsilon scholarship committee.  Unused funds shall be applied to awards for recipients for the following year.

Applicants, must if requested, submit to a personal interview by members of Beta Epsilon's Scholarship Committee. Scholarship Deadline:  April 15, 2012.
