It is 1st grade's turn to take care of the chickens this week. The students help feed and water the chickens and also collect the eggs. Our 3rd grade students are learning about the hatching process and have marked some eggs with an x. The 1st grade students know to be very careful and leave these special eggs in the coop. Our Emerson chickens are truly a team effort!





Kona Ice will be here tomorrow! Don't forget, all money must be sent with your child to school. The office cannot accept money dropped off after your child is at school.

This year we are doing a PIE a Teacher Penny Wars!! The teacher with the most money raised will get pied on the stage during lunch! 🤣🤪We will have a lower grades and upper grades teacher pied and even some special bonus teachers pied!
In addition, the WINNING grade level/department classes will receive a special treat reward!!

Want to be part of an excellent volunteer program in our school? Read to Grow volunteers work with students to develop their reading skills. There will be a training on Wednesday, 8/16 at 1:00 pm, Thursday, 8/24 at 10:00 am, and Friday, 8/25 at 11:30 am. Fingerprinting will be done immediately after. If you are able to volunteer, please bring exactly $10 cash to cover processing of fingerprinting.
