8th grade student, Christian H., uses a Mentos and Diet Coke to complete the first step for his STEM experiment. In this STEM unit, 8th grade students focused on the Coca-Cola brand. Science students made a connection between the ingredients in Coca-Cola and Mentos Candy in terms of chemical reactions.
Paul Pugliese, with the UGA Extension Office, gives a presentation to 7th grade Social Studies classes on the impact of climate and location on farming. Mr. Pugliese is the Agriculture and Natural Resource County Extension Agent/Coordinator.

Katie Martin, with the UGA Extension Office, talks with 7th grade Science classes about the most effective ways to plant vegetables. They discussed types of containers, varieties of soil, and options for watering.
