Adairsville came together in a meaningful celebration of service and sacrifice during the annual Veterans Day Program hosted by Adairsville Elementary School in partnership with the City of Adairsville. The ceremony was thoughtfully coordinated by event planner Autumn Lester, with musical direction by Kim Norris, AES Chorus Director, and Mike Bright, AHS Ensemble Band Director. Their collaboration helped bring the community together for a heartfelt tribute to our Veterans.
The AES Chorus opened with beautiful patriotic selections that set a reverent tone, followed by a powerful performance from the AHS Ensemble Band. Their music honored the courage, dedication, and resilience of all who have served.
A special moment of the program included 3rd grade student, Kennedy Nachtsheim, who delivered a warm welcome speech and proudly introduced guest speaker Major Carson. Her poise and confidence reflected the pride and appreciation our students hold for Veterans and their service.
This year’s program also featured guest speakers Major Carson and Veteran John McPherson, who shared inspiring messages about service, community, and the importance of honoring those who protect our freedoms. Their words encouraged everyone in attendance to remember that supporting our Veterans is a lasting commitment.
Adairsville is a special small town with a big heart—one that deeply loves and honors its Veterans. Here, service is remembered, sacrifice is respected, and patriotism is woven into the community spirit. From local partnerships to school traditions, Adairsville continues to show that supporting and celebrating our Veterans is part of who we are.
Through music, reflection, and shared appreciation, the Veterans Day program served as a meaningful reminder that freedom is a gift—and honoring those who secure it is our shared responsibility.
