Class of 2024 Baccalaureate & Graduation
Attire
Black slacks/dress pants, white shirt with collar, black tie, and black dress shoes. NO flip flops OR tennis shoes (Vans, Hey Dudes, Crocs, etc. This is formal ceremony)
OR
A dress. The dress color is your choice, however; tradition is to wear a white or cream dress. The dress cannot hang out from underneath the gown.

Contact the Guidance Office if you do not have/cannot afford the correct dress attire required.
Do’s & Don’ts for Cap & Gowns
Do not decorate your caps
Do not wash them
Do not iron them
Do not put them in the dryer
Do not take them to the drycleaners
DO HANG THEM UP IN YOUR BATHROOM. THE STEAM FROM THE SHOWER CAN GET THE WRINKLES OUT! AT LEAST 2 OR 3 DAYS BEFORE 21st

Do not forget to make a donation to the breakfast fund once it becomes available.
Senior Class Picture- Football Stadium @ 9:30-10:00am
Bring your Cap, Gown, Tassel & with you. Arrive by 9:00 if you are not eating breakfast.
Baccalaureate Practice- AHS Auditorium@10:00-11:00 am
Baccalaureate Service- 6:00pm Auditorium. Arrive by 5:15pm dressed in correct attire.

GRADUATION
Graduation @ AHS 8:00pm Seniors need to be in Auditorium in line by 7:00pm After graduation, seniors are to go to Weight Room to pick up their diplomas. Pick a designated spot to meet your family for pictures.
Inclement weather- Ceremony will be delayed as long as possible. If we are forced to postpone the ceremony, our make-up date will be Wednesday, May 22nd at 6:00pm

May 6th- May 17th, 2024 – EOC’s & AP exams @ AHS (Times and Locations will be provided at a later date)
May 10th, 2024- VAL/SAL grade submission deadline at 10:00am.

2:00pm- Cass Middle Walk *arrive 15 minutes early in cap & gown (student must provide their own transportation)
6:00pm Board of Education Meeting VAL/SAL must attend @ Central Office
May 14th, 2024
Last day of school for Seniors UNLESS you have to attend Tier II Days
9:00am- Emerson, Euharlee, Mission Road, Taylorsville, & Kingston Elementary Walks*arrive 15 minutes early in cap & gown (student must provide their own transportation)
1:00pm- Woodland Middle Walk *arrive 15 minutes early in cap & gown (student must provide their own transportation)
1:30pm- Red Top Middle Walk *arrive 15 minutes early in cap & gown (student must provide their own transportation)
May 15th & 16th, 2024- Tier 2 Days for Seniors. The last day to be eligible to walk at graduation is the end of day on May 16th.

9:30am - 10:00 am Senior Picture for Media/Various Newspapers @ AHS (Football Stadium) Arrive at least by 9:00 if you are not eating breakfast.
10:00-11:00am- Baccalaureate Practice @ AHS (Auditorium) (will be released if done early)
*Seniors who have to attend Tier 2 must return to class by 11:00am.*
10:45-11:15 Tonsmeire Studios will be on campus for individual cap & gown pictures. Front of auditorium
