Adairsville High School kicked off the first day of second semester with an exciting learning experience with the 2026 Tiger STEAM Forum! Held on January 5, this in‑house forum brought together AHS educators for a morning dedicated to innovation, creativity, and meaningful instructional growth as we continue our journey toward Georgia State STEAM Certification.
Throughout the forum, teachers were able to choose from a variety of sessions designed to support instructional innovation, arts integration, student agency, and interdisciplinary lessons. Sixteen sessions were offered and each educator selected the sessions most meaningful to them, helping ensure professional learning was purposeful, relevant, and inspiring.
The forum concluded with our Exploration Station, where teachers had the chance to tinker, build, and experiment with some of today’s most exciting technologies, including drones, gaming tools, Sphero robots, and coding platforms. Smiles and laughs were shared as teachers crashed drones and attempted to get the Sphero BOLT on the target. Pictured is Dr. Smith with the remote, crashing a drone, as Coach Long, Mr. Ford, and Major Sexauer encourage his efforts. AHS students played an essential role by helping set-up and facilitate each station. They demonstrated how the technologies work and shared ideas for how these tools can be meaningfully integrated into classrooms across all content areas.
As we strive toward earning Georgia’s STEAM Certification, this forum represented an important step forward in strengthening our practices, deepening our understanding, and reaffirming our commitment to providing relevant, student‑centered learning for ALL.
Go Tigers!
