Congratulations to three teams from our Foundations of Engineering students, who competed this weekend in the Punkin Chunkin Battle at the Tellus Science Museum!
After weeks of designing, building, testing, and improving their trebuchets, our students earned the competition's Most Accurate Trophy, defeating the HackBerry makerspace team from Berry College.
These freshmen showcased what it means to be a Tiger through teamwork, perseverance, creativity, and determination. Throughout the competition, they tested, adjusted, solved problems, and encouraged one another every step of the way. Sir Chunks-A-Lot threw their projectile a whopping 164 feet on the final launch!
While we're proud of the trophy, we're even prouder of the resilience, sportsmanship, and engineering mindset our students demonstrated throughout the day.
Please join us in congratulating our Freshman Engineering students on this incredible achievement!
Never Quit. Never Give Up. Keep Building.
