🍪🔬 Science Never Tasted So Good! 🔬🍬
Our students brought cell biology to life by creating edible cookie cells! Using cookies and different types of candy, students modeled the structures of a cell and identified the different organelles and their functions.
This hands-on activity gave students a fun and memorable way to visualize how the parts of a cell work together. And the best part? After learning about their cells, they got to eat their models! 🍪🍭
Learning is definitely sweeter when science is involved! 🧬🔬

🧪🔬 Science in Action! 🔬🧪
Our students became scientists as they tested common household items to determine whether each substance was an acid, base, or neutral!
Students used red and blue litmus paper to test each substance, observe color changes, and determine whether it was acidic or basic. They also explored the pH of each substance, recorded their observations, analyzed their results, and compared where the different household items fell on the pH scale. 🧫📝
Hands-on investigations like this make science come alive and help students connect what they’re learning in the classroom to everyday life! 🥼💡

Adairsville Middle School has partnered with Chick-fil-A, Calhoun to bring the Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy to our students. Twenty-one students will work and learn about what leadership is, looks like, and feels like. Students will also gain skills and strategies to help grow themselves as leaders. The year-long study will culminate with a community service project
The program kicked off this morning with a visit - and biscuits - from none other than the Chick-fil-A Cow and Mrs. Brooke Cudd from Chick-fil-A, Calhoun. We are all excited to see what is learned and comes from this program!

Our teachers and staff have been working SO hard this year, and it was fun to treat them to a little Tuesday afternoon pick-me-up! There’s never enough we can do to show just how much they mean to us and how much we appreciate everything they pour into our students each day but sometimes, it’s the little things that can make someone’s day a little brighter! 💚

This week, students in Mrs. Hardman’s class revisited their Biodiversity Prediction Maps and compared their original predictions with real world data collected by Georgia Power drones during their visit to AMS a few weeks ago.

Mrs. Hardman guided students through the drone findings as they analyzed the data, looked for patterns, and considered how the results compared to what they originally predicted about biodiversity on our campus.

We love seeing our Tigers move from prediction to real world data to analysis!
