Open to families of: Adairsville Middle, Adairsville Elementary, Pine Log Elementary, & Clear Creek Elementary

Items May Include: Snacks, refrigerated or frozen items, & canned goods

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to our incredible teachers and staff! We are truly grateful for the dedication, care, and hard work you pour into our students each day. Our AMS staff enjoyed being celebrated all week with delicious meals, snacks, and special treats.

Join us on May 13th at 1pm (or by appointment) for our Title I School Improvement Stakeholders meeting where we will review relevant data and provide thoughtful input and feedback. All families and community partners are encouraged to attend!

Join us at AMS on Wednesday, May 13 at 9am for our Title I Parent Input meeting where we will discuss our Parent Engagement Plan and School-Parent Compact to provide an opportunity for you to participate in the education of your child. Coach McGuire’s 7th grade students celebrated Earth Day by planting new shrubs, colorful flowers, and fruit trees throughout our campus. Their hard work not only enhanced the beauty of our school, but also helped promote environmental awareness and sustainability for years to come.

A big thank you to Walmart of Calhoun and Cartersville for their generous donations, which made this project possible!

We had the highest attendance of all Bartow County middle schools for the month of March! 👏 Attendance matters, and our students, staff, and families continue to show up and show out.

Let’s keep the momentum going—April, we’re coming for you!

At AMS, our STEM focus goes beyond the classroom! Our schoolwide overarching question—“How can we build the relationship between our school and our community through local conservation projects?”—came to life today in a powerful way. 🌱

During their Connections time, several of our 8th grade students volunteered to serve others by helping build a community garden at a nearby apartment complex. Students planted tomatoes, bell peppers, and okra, taking the first steps in creating a sustainable resource for local families.

This project isn’t over yet! Next, our students will design a survey to gather input from residents so they can continue to grow a garden that truly reflects the needs and interests of the community.

We are so proud of our students for showing leadership, compassion, and a commitment to making a difference right here in our community!

A special night at AMS! 💚

Honored to celebrate our newest Beta Club members—hardworking, high-achieving students who make us proud every day! Congratulations!

Today, our 8th grade Social Studies students brought learning to life in a BIG way! Classes headed to the Aux Gym to take part in a hands-on simulation of the criminal justice system—from the moment of arrest all the way through trial.

Students actively participated in each step of the trial process, even trying out for roles as prosecuting and defense attorneys. This real-world experience helped deepen their understanding and will make those concepts stick for the Milestones Test. 😊

Officer Blackman even kicked things off with a live “arrest,” making the experience as authentic as possible!

Learning is always better when it’s engaging, interactive, and memorable! Way to go, Mrs. Ridley, Coach Dye & Mrs. King!

We hosted our first College and Career Day this week! It was a huge success and we are looking forward to next year!

Students in Mrs. Stewart's 8th grade math classes worked hard to prepare for their system of equations test this week! The teaching role was switched and students got to "teach" each other, help identify mistakes and misunderstandings, and tutor through meaningful conversations! So many students said they improved their understanding on the 3 methods- substitution, elimination, and graphing! The class was full of "shout-outs" and high-fives for each other!

🍬 Sweet Science in Action! 🍬
Today in 7th grade science, students turned jelly beans into a learning tool as they created their very own dichotomous keys!

Using color, size, flavor, and patterns, students worked step-by-step to sort and classify their jelly beans—just like real scientists do when identifying organisms in nature. 🔬

Who knew something so sweet could teach such an important concept? And yes… a few jelly beans may have mysteriously disappear.

🎉 Congratulations to Wyatt Mumma, whose essay earned the top spot in the Men’s Leadership Group competition.
Thank you to Officer Donnie Scott for his leadership and guidance throughout the program.
👏 Reece Waller and Lucas Garland also submitted excellent essays and finished as runners‑up.
A big thank‑you to our judges — Jason Rood (AHS), Shamari Patton-Webb (Shaw), and Jermaine Wilson (Shaw). Mr. Wilson also plays an important role in supporting Men’s Leadership throughout the year.
This group continues to set a strong example of dedication and leadership.
