Cass High Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) wants to wish one of their recent graduates, Josef Wilkins, the best of luck at the FBLA National Leadership Convention in Chicago, Illinois this week! Starting today, Wilkins will be competing against students across the country in the Digital Video Production category with his video "How to Get Over a Break-up."

"Each person who participates is given a topic," says Wilkins about the competition. "My topic was to create a 'how-to' video, so I did like a little short comedy about how to get over a break-up. I ended up getting first place at regionals, and second place at state."

The video features Wilkins as the main, unnamed character, as he attempts to overcome a recent break-up. One of the final steps: join a club. Wilkins's character decides to join his local FBLA chapter.

Wilkins says that doing these sorts of projects have long been his passion, and he plans to pursue a career in film and photography.

About his process, Wilkins says, "I've always been a creative. In middle school I started interning for this videographer. I took that information and put it into my own business."

Mrs. Melissa Womack and Mrs. Sherri Fleming, the Cass High FBLA Club Sponsors, along with the rest of our faculty, staff and students would like to congratulate Josef on his success so far, and wish him the best of luck in Chicago!
