Our third-grade nature protectors were visited by Mr. Grant Lockman with Bartow County Solid Waste today as part of their year-long project-based learning. Mr. Lockman taught students about both the landfill and recycling centers, as well as what should and should not be recycled here in Bartow County. Thank you for your time and expertise, Mr. Lockman! #ccescommunitypartnerships #ccesSTEAM

Pi Day is one of our favorite traditions at CCES—celebrating math, science, and creativity. But starting this year, we’re giving our celebration a fresh twist.

Pi Day is NOT going away—it’s just moving to a new date so we can enjoy the same amazing hands-on STEAM activities earlier in the school year. Our STEAM Day will happen on November 7, 2025, with all the same fun challenges, experiments, and activities you know and love.

Why the change? Moving the celebration to November gives us better timing with our curriculum, avoids spring testing schedules and competition date conflicts. Plus…it’s a perfect time for apple, pumpkin, and all things pie!

Mark your calendars for November 7th—and get ready for a new season of STEM fun!
