Second grade enjoyed a visit from Etowah Indian Mounds to discuss Native American culture. This fun, informative visit laid the foundation for their next Arts and Letters module that addresses the essential question "How has the American West changed over time?" This also ties into their yearlong STEM PBL question "How has development changed our community over time, and what steps can we take to minimize a negative effect going forward?"
Yesterday in Coding Club students created their own Flappy Bird game using block coding. Our 3rd graders, who have been coding longer, helped coach our 2nd grade new coders!

Our 2nd grade students enjoyed learning about folk music and folk dances with Mrs. Barkley in today.
