Emerson Elementary School is hosting their 2nd Annual Read-a-thon this year!
Read-a-thons actually get your reader excited about reading and it gives friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more.
Our Read-a-thon starts Monday, February 27, 2023.
About one week before our Read-a-thon starts we will send home instructions on how to activate your reader's personal page. This is where you will be able to view and record their progress.
BUT you can activate your reader’s account today by clicking on https://www.read-a-thon.com/readers/r/NFGzUf/1 and following the simple instructions. Readers will receive a Dr. Seuss inspired rubber duck once their account is activated.
We've chosen Read-a-thon because it will not take much of your time, gives your child a reason to read and helps in the development of stronger reading skills.
We hope EVERYONE participates.

Our Read-A-Thon fundraiser is fast approaching. As part of our Read-A-Thon, we have an exciting opportunity for local businesses. If you own, know, or manage a business, consider sponsoring our Read-A-Thon.
Thousands of people will know you’re supporting literacy at our school. Bring traffic to your site through both digital and optional printed content while supporting the school and local community.
There are a limited number of digital and printed spots available, including one Literacy Champion sponsorship. Check out the flyer below for information on how to begin your sponsorship. Please contact Mrs. Parris in the library with any questions.
And as always, thank you for supporting our school community.

2nd grade has a fun school-wide project coming up in March (stay tuned for details! 🙂) They are in need of gallon milk jugs. If you have any milk jugs you can donate, please wash out and drop off in the front office.
