Chompsaws in Action!

Thanks to the money earned from our fall Book Fair, Dr. Bagley purchased Chompsaws for our students to use at Euharlee Elementary.

Our 5th graders in Mrs. Abbott’s class have already been putting them to great use! Students selected an ocean animal to research, planned their designs, and created thumbnail sketches. Now they’re using the Chompsaws to cut cardboard pieces for their sculptures, which they’re building from recycled materials and papier-mâché.

These amazing creations will be featured in our “Recycled Reef” installation on Fine Arts Night. We can’t wait for everyone to see their hard work and creativity on display!

Our kindergarten students are learning about America: Then and Now in Arts & Letters, ultimately answering the question, “How has innovation changed life in America over time"? Today, students compared changes in their local community over time and showed their learning by contributing to a shared student mural.

A special thank you to Dana Rieske and the Euharlee History Museum for allowing us to use historical photos of Euharlee to bring this learning to life. We are grateful for our amazing community support!
