Dear Parent or Guardian,
We are excited to announce that the Euharlee Elementary STEM Club is back and will begin meeting on September 29th. The STEM program at Euharlee, led by Mrs. Segars and Mrs. Oliver, is designed to enrich student learning in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and related careers. This year, STEM club will continue to meet 4 separate sessions. Students that are invited to join the STEM Club will have the opportunity to attend at least 2 of the four STEM sessions. This year, the four STEM sessions are: Session 1: Beginners Robotics, Session 2: Advanced Robotics, Session 3: Beginners Stop Motion Animation/Green Screen, and Session 4: Advanced Stop Motion Animation/Green Screen
Your child has expressed an interest in joining the STEM Club at Euharlee Elementary School. Please understand that this letter does not guarantee a spot for your child in the STEM Club. This is the first step in the application process. For a student to become a member, students must apply by responding to the questions attached to this form. One of the most important predictors of high school graduation is reading proficiency in THIRD grade. Before then, students are learning to read. After third-grade, students are reading to learn. The Read to Grow initiative pairs volunteers with first- and second-grade students to provide additional reading practice.
We need YOU, our community members, to support students who are struggling with foundational reading skills. If you can spend an hour a week (ideally) in one of our schools, you can make a difference in a child’s future. No experience is necessary, just attend a training and get started.
TRAINING DATES 2021:
8/5 at 6:00 pm 8/10 at 10:00 am
8/12 at 6:00 pm 8/17 at 10:00 am
Training will be held at the Bartow County College and Career Academy, 738 Grassdale Road, Cartersville. You do not need to register, just show up – and bring friends! We will cover everything you need to know in about an hour. You choose the school you’d like to visit and the day of the week. Most reading times are in the morning, but there is some availability in early afternoon.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact Kristy Mitchell at 770-606-5800, ext. 2043 or kristy.mitchell@bartow.k12.ga.us. We look forward to you joining our team!

We're thrilled to announce Bartow County School System's new app! It's everything Bartow County Schools, in your pocket. Download the app on Android: https://bit.ly/2SySlsi or iPhone: https://apple.co/3A2xi81.

Parents are invited to attend out outside DARE Graduation this Thursday, May 13, at 9:00 a.m.
