Join in our celebration of the Pine Log Chicks by wearing chicken-related clothing, hats, headbands, and jewelry or colors of the Pine Log Chicks (black, gray, green, red). 

Homerooms will decorate a student-designed chicken coop for a spirit award.

Karen, Felicia, Sapphire, and Sarah love to eat, so we encourage you to send donations or gift cards to Tractor Supply to buy feed and treats.

The Pine Log Chicks and their coop was donated by the Bartow Farm Bureau. Other STEM partners who supported the Hen Den:  Moss Family Christmas Tree Farm,  

Valerie Prior started the Pine Log Chicks as a Problem-Based Learning (PBL)  to study the life cycle of chickens starting in Kindergarten. The PBL for K-2 is to maintain consistent egg production and for the coop to become financially self-sustaining.
