Graphic thanking Kendra Johnson and North Georgia Truss Systems for donating additional eight‑foot pretreated boards for the Killdeer sanctuary project at Pine Log Elementary. The graphic includes the North Georgia Truss Systems logo and three photos: a person standing beside a truck bed loaded with lumber, a neatly stacked set of boards on the ground, and a fenced grassy area prepared for the sanctuary.

PLES thanks Kendra Johnson who delivered 10 eight-foot 2'x4' pretreated boards as a donation from North Georgia Truss Systems. This donation was in addition to the 31 boards that North Georgia Truss Systems donated in January 2025 for the framing of the Killdeer sanctuary. The current donation was for two additional sections that students thought would encourage Killdeer to nest in the sanctuary and stay clear of the playground. The sanctuary project is the heart of the Killdeer PBL for students in third, fourth, and fifth grades. The sanctuary, which is designed and constructed by students, is comprised entirely of donated materials thanks to great STEM partners such as North Georgia Truss Systems.
