Kimberlyn Allen, daughter of Jacob and Megann Allen, was selected as the Point of Pride student for Pine Log Elementary because she displays a high level of integrity. She is a hard-working and dedicated student who exceeds the standard in all academic areas. Kimberlyn shows kindness, perseverance, and consistently goes out of her way to support other students. In fact, Kimberlyn and a friend both recently shaved their heads with a fellow student who was going through chemotherapy treatments. We appreciate Kimberlyn's leadership in our school.Travis Greene, son of Trent and Faith McMurtrey, was selected as the Point of Pride student for Pine Log Elementary because he displays a high level of integrity. Travis is a hard worker who is not afraid to be wrong and therefore takes academic risks which help him to learn more than he would otherwise. He is easy-going and has lots of friends. Travis thinks about others and has even bought ice cream for the whole class on multiple occasions. He is also very humble and someone you can count on whether you are his teacher or his friend. We appreciate Travis's pluck and generosity in our school.Gracelynn Angel, daughter of Amanda Peppel, Justin Angel, and Cody Thomas, was selected as the Point of Pride student for Pine Log Elementary because she displays a high level of integrity. Gracelynn is a hard worker. Not only does she work hard to reach her academic goals, but she takes time to help her teachers and fellow students when needed. She always keeps a positive attitude which is uplifting to those around her. Gracelynn is very friendly and kind. She is easy to get along with, and she also notices when students are left out and sits by them. No wonder she has a lot of friends. We appreciate Gracelynn's positivity in our school.Colby Hoover, son of Daniel and Bonnie Hoover, was selected as the Point of Pride student for Pine Log Elementary because he displays a high level of integrity. Colby is courteous and tender-hearted. He truly cares about his family, is respectful to his teachers, and is also a good friend to his classmates. Colby has a strong work ethic and is willing to make sacrifices to accomplish his goals. This was evidenced by how hard he has had to work – twice – to catch up after being out for health reasons. Not only did he catch up by working at home and coming in early to work during office hours, but he has also excelled in all his subjects so far this year. We appreciate Colby's optimism and perseverance in our school.
