BIG NEWS- We are excited to share that Mr. Kyle Adkins will be joining Red Top Middle School as an Assistant Principal for the 2026–2027 school year!
Mr. Adkins is currently in his 24th year in education and brings a wealth of experience to Red Top. He spent 16 years teaching social studies and 4 years teaching health and physical education at the high school level, building strong relationships with students both in and beyond the classroom.
In addition to his classroom experience, Mr. Adkins has worn many leadership hats throughout his career. He has served the past four years as an assistant principal in Cobb County and has nine years of experience as a head football coach. His additional roles include athletic director, assistant athletic director, athletic coordinator, co-department chair, and academy team leader, reflecting his deep commitment to leadership, teamwork, and student success.
Mr. Adkins earned his Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
Upon learning of his new role at Red Top Middle School, Mr. Adkins shared, “I cannot express the amount of excitement that I have right now! The opportunity to come in and be a contributing part of the team at Red Top Middle School is something I am greatly looking forward to.”
Looking ahead, Mr. Adkins is excited to collaborate with Mrs. Suárez and Dr. Wilson to bring fresh ideas and perspectives while continuing to build on the school’s strong foundation. He is especially passionate about working with staff, students, families, and the community to further develop a culture of excellence.
He lives in the Cartersville/Bartow community and says that he has “always taken great pride in creating a network. Now with the opportunity to expand my network to the area in which I reside, I feel that this is a tremendous opportunity for my career and family. I am greatly looking forward to joining and being an active part of such an amazing team.”
Mr. Adkins has been married to his wife, April, for 15 years. They have three children and a Chocolate Lab who keeps life interesting. When he is not at school, he is probably running, at the gym or cheering on his Georgia Bulldogs!
