Teacher of the Year!

We are proud to celebrate Mr. Rensch and his incredible contributions to the Red Top community! Over the past six years, he has served in several impactful roles, including paraprofessional, 7th and 8th grade Special Education Math teacher, and 6th grade Math teacher.

During this time, he has earned numerous honors, including the Helen Keller Award, District A-Team recognition, and being named Red Top’s Teacher of the Year. We congratulate Mr. Rensch on these outstanding achievements and the lasting difference he makes in the lives of our students.

Mr. Rensch earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida Gulf Coast University and is currently continuing his educational journey by pursuing his master’s degree at Augusta University. Across his 20-year career in education, he spent 11 years teaching Physical Education and three years serving as a Dean of Discipline in Florida before finding his home here at Red Top.

In the classroom, Mr. Rensch’s mission is to show every student that they are fully capable of mastering math. He fosters collaborative discussions and often begins lessons by exploring the essential question: “When will I use this as an adult?” As a father of two, he enjoys keeping learning fun and engaging by incorporating current slang and connecting with students in meaningful ways.

He also recognizes that math instruction has evolved over time and regularly posts video lessons to help families support their students at home. Outside the classroom, he enjoys staying active by playing pickleball and exploring the outdoors.

Mr. Rensch is proud to be part of the Red Top community and looks forward to another fantastic year of learning together!
