Parents of Woodland Class of 2024!
Graduation Commencement is Monday, May 20th at 8:00 PM. Gates open for spectators to enter Wildcat Stadium at 6:00 PM, and all graduates must be in their assigned classrooms by 6 :30 PM with their required dress and items. We will monitor weather in the days approaching to keep you apprised of any issues. We will hold the event in light rain but severe thunderstorms or lightning will lead to a delay, similar to a football game. If in the unlikely event we are unable to run the event on the 20th, our makeup day is the 22nd at 8:00 PM.
Seniors MUST attend graduation practice on Thursday, the 16th. Breakfast will be provided to our seniors at 8:30 AM and practice will begin promptly at 9:00 AM. Any exception to practice attendance must be cleared through Mr. Stephenson directly.
Our seniors' last day of classes is Monday, May 13th. Final assessments will be given in senior classes on the 8th and 9th, and the 10th and 13th will provide tier 2 opportunities for students to re-test and improve prior learning outcomes.
Keep in mind that some of our seniors will still have AP exams to take the week of May 13-17.
Seniors must meet ALL graduation requirements in order to walk at commencement. If your child requires summer interventions or additional credits over summer, he/she will not be eligible to participate in the ceremony. Please make sure your child is taking advantage of all learning and assessment opportunities over the next two weeks.
Finally, congrats to both your student and to you. This milestone is one to be cherished. We look forward to celebrating with you on the 20th!
