Jennifer Suarez

Cass High School Assistant Principal Jennifer Suárez finds a new home in Allatoona Elementary School. She will assume the principalship position following the retirement of Teri Marley.

“I am beyond excited,” said Suárez. “I cannot wait to meet my new Wildcat family and call ALES my forever home.”

It is the community that led Suárez straight to South Bartow.

“ALES has a long history of outstanding students, dedicated staff, and a supportive school community that I am thrilled to join,” said Suárez. “With their focus on academic excellence, my goal is to support and increase classroom instruction while, most importantly, building positive relationships with our staff, students, and families.”

About 15 years of educational experience prepared Suárez for this important role. That includes three years of work in the Bartow County School System and 12 years of service between Cobb County Schools and Kennesaw State University.

“Twelve of my 15 years of experience in education have been in ESOL, English Language Arts, Reading, and World Languages,” said Suárez. “I have served various elementary, middle, and high school roles, including tutor, content teacher, and co-teacher. I also served as a high school's ESOL and World Languages Department Chair, and I have taught the ESOL endorsement professional learning courses to college education majors and adult students.”

Suárez is currently the premier curriculum and instruction assistant principal at CHS.

She is passionate about working with diverse learners and growing teacher leaders. She says her understanding of the Spanish language and culture will be very beneficial to the ALES school community.

“In 2023, ALES and CHS were both recognized as Model Professional Learning Communities Schools,” said Suárez. “Therefore, I know firsthand the importance of focusing on learning, maintaining a collaborative culture, and being results oriented. I am committed to supporting this Model PLC status and increasing achievement, positive school culture, and community involvement.”

If you cannot find Suárez in a classroom, look no further than neighboring Lake Allatoona. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, and camping with her husband Germán, daughter Isabella (a college

graduate), son Andrés (in middle school), and son Nicolás (in elementary school).

Her high energy is contagious, and her positivity is equally infectious. The ALES community is sure to find her a great addition to its family.
