The Georgia Department of Education has recognized Paula Camp, Director of Advanced Learning, STEM & Gifted Programs for Bartow County Schools, with the prestigious CTAE Golden Key Award. This honor is presented to only three professionals statewide and celebrates exceptional contributions to Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE). The award highlights values such as innovation, student-centered practices, employer engagement, and a strong focus on career readiness.

With more than 32 years of experience in education, Camp has been a transformative leader, driving initiatives that integrate technology and innovative learning strategies across K–12 classrooms. Under her leadership, Bartow County Schools has achieved remarkable milestones, including:

  • Districtwide STEM implementation

  • Eighteen district STEM-certified schools and three state-certified schools, with additional certifications in progress

  • Creation of dynamic Learning Hubs, fostering collaboration and creativity

  • Spearheaded development of the STEM Innovation Center and Esports Arena

Camp was recognized by the state and Bartow County Board of Education this month on this outstanding achievement and her continued commitment to preparing students for success in college, careers, and beyond.
