Lindsay Perry

Some leadership journeys come full circle. This fall, Lindsay Perry will return to Cass Middle School, not as a teacher or assistant principal, but as its new principal.

Perry, currently serving as principal of Hamilton Crossing Elementary School, brings 17 years of experience within the Bartow County School System, including 13 formative years spent at Cass Middle School. It was there that she began her career in 2009 as a sixth-grade math teacher, laying the foundation for a leadership path shaped by deep relationships, instructional growth, and hometown blue-and-gold pride.

“Cass Middle School is where I learned what it truly means to serve students,” Perry said. “It’s where I grew as an educator and a leader, and returning feels both humbling and energizing.”

Over the years, Perry’s roles at Cass Middle expanded from classroom teacher to academic coach and then assistant principal, where she served for five years. In 2022, she transitioned to Hamilton Crossing Elementary School, first as assistant principal and later as principal. Leading at the elementary level allowed Perry to see education from a broader lens, guiding students from their earliest school experiences through the critical transition into middle school.

“Leading Hamilton Crossing gave me a front-row seat to the full PK–8 journey,” Perry said. “That perspective deepened my understanding of how foundational literacy, math, and whole-child development prepare students for success at the middle school level.”

At Hamilton Crossing, Perry worked closely with district instructional initiatives, strengthening alignment in literacy and math instruction and ensuring students built strong academic foundations. That experience now guides her vision for Cass Middle School, one rooted in continuity, clarity, and purpose.

Perry is especially eager to reconnect with the Cass community she knows so well.

“I’m excited to reunite with former students, my Knights who are now Colonels, and reconnect with families and colleagues who helped shape my career,” she said.

As principal, Perry is committed to carrying forward the school’s long-standing culture of commitment and pride. “The ‘Whatever It Takes’ mindset was instilled in me early in my career at Cass, and it still guides my leadership today,” Perry said. “My focus is on supporting academics, attendance, athletics, and the arts, so every student feels known, challenged, and proud to be part of the Cass family.”

Perry will assume her role as principal of Cass Middle School for the upcoming school year.
