Two Bartow County high school students have earned highly competitive placements in the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program (GHP), a distinction reserved for some of the most accomplished students in the state. The four week residential program will be held at Georgia Southern University from June 14 to July 11.

Congratulations to:

• Nathan Loveless, junior, Cass High School – Music (Percussion)

• Jordon Goodwin, sophomore, Adairsville High School – Engineering (Electrical & Computational)

“I’m incredibly proud of these students and the dedication it took to reach this level,” said Paula Camp, GHP Coordinator. “They represented themselves and their schools exceptionally well throughout the rigorous interview process. This program will challenge them academically and creatively, and I’m excited for the growth and opportunities that lie ahead for them.”

The Georgia Governor’s Honors Program is a fully funded, residential summer experience for academically and artistically gifted high school sophomores and juniors. GHP offers an immersive learning environment that goes far beyond the traditional classroom, providing advanced instruction and meaningful academic, cultural, and social enrichment designed to cultivate future innovators, thinkers, and leaders.

The program continues to be supported through funding from the Georgia General Assembly.
