As we enter the final nine weeks of the school year, I want to personally thank our families and community for the commitment you have shown to our students. Attendance has been a major focus across the state of Georgia, and together, Bartow County is rising to the challenge. We know that when students are present each day, they learn more, build stronger relationships, and are better prepared for success in school and in life.
Because of your support, we are seeing real progress. As of March 31, our average daily attendance has increased from 92.5% to 94.4%, and chronic absenteeism has dropped from 25.5% to 16.6%. That means approximately 1,250 fewer students are missing significant amounts of school this year. Those numbers reflect the strength of our community and the shared belief that education matters.
Now is the time for one final push. Let’s finish strong. Let’s continue to make attendance a priority each morning. With your partnership, we can position Bartow County among the leading school systems in the state for attendance. Together, we can ensure every student shows up, stays engaged, and finishes the year with pride.
