AMS Title 1 Family Literacy Night
Attention, 8th Grade Families!

Are you interested in learning more about the STEM Magnet Program at Adairsville High School?

Join us for our Magnet Prospective Night on Thursday, November 12th at 6:30PM in the AHS Auditorium! This is a great opportunity for any BCSS 8th grader who is interested in exploring what our program has to offer.
Families will have the opportunity to hear from our magnet coordinator, principal, teachers, and counselors, but most importantly, our current students!

Students will showcase their projects, share their experiences in the Magnet Program, and highlight the many sports, clubs, and extracurricular opportunities available at AHS.

Whether your student is already interested in STEM or simply curious about what the program has to offer, we would love for you to come check it out! This is the perfect opportunity to ask questions, meet our school community, and hear directly from the people who know the program best.

Are You Listening, Tigers? Did you know that one of the newer components of the Georgia Milestones assessment focuses on listening comprehension? Ms. Callaway spent some time in Mrs. Murphy’s ELA class helping students practice strategies to strengthen their listening skills! Students listened to a passage and answered comprehension questions using only what they heard...no reading along! 🏡 Parents, you can help at home, too! Read a short passage aloud, have your child listen without looking at the text, and then ask questions about what they heard. It’s a simple way to build an important skill! And let’s face it… we all know middle schoolers can sometimes use a little extra practice with listening! 😉

Congratulations to our AMS Spelling Bee Champions! A big shoutout to Emmett Schilling, our Spelling Bee winner, and Brady McFry, our runner-up! Emmett will represent AMS at the Bartow County Schools Spelling Bee in December! Way to go, guys!

Wednesday we will start selling ice cream, $1.00. Ice Cream sales this year will be on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.


Fundraiser distribution will be Thursday October 22nd. Pick Up will be in the gymnasium lobby from 2:30-4:00 p.m. Any questions contact Mrs. West the bookkeeper.
