what's going around: Flu A; fever, cough, headache, body aches; Norovirus: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea; PinkEye: red , itchy eyes with drainage; Remind students and parents, students need to stay home if they have: fever 100* or higher, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, strep throat, flu, covid, pinkeye with drainage; tips and reminders: hand sanitizer is okay if hands are not visibly soied, cover cough and sneezes with elbow or tissue, never use bare hands; knowing when to keep a child home from school can be a difficult decisiton for parents. leeting the child rest at home helps them feel better quickly and prevents the child from infectin gother students; students may return to school when they are fever free for 24 hours without medications, free of vomiting/diarrhea for 24 hours, on antibiotics for 24 hours; tips and reminders: encourage students to wash their hands with soap and water for 20-30 seconds; what we are doing in the school: regularly clean desks, door handles, light switches, adn other commonly touched surfaces to prevent germs from spreading. encouraging good hand hygiene and cough etiquette among our students and staff
