Good afternoon CMS Parents, I hope everyone had a wonderful summer break! We are excited to welcome you and your child to the upcoming school year for what promises to be a year filled with learning, growing and new experiences! We would like to invite you to our Open House event which will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, July 30th. This event provides an excellent opportunity for you to meet your child’s teachers, tour the school, and learn more about our curriculum and expectations for the year ahead. We are offering three sessions to accommodate different schedules: · 10:30 am – 11:30 am · 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm · 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm In addition, to Open House, we want to inform you that free lunch application is available through the Bartow County Nutrition website. You can access the application and find more information at WWW.BARTOW.K12.GA.US/O/BARTOW/PAGE/NUTRITION-PAYMENT-CENTER. A flyer detailing the application process will be attached to this email for your convenience with a QR code to access the application through your phone. Additionally, there will be assistance provided in the café during open house to help you complete the forms online. Furthermore, we are pleased to let you know that school supplies (notebooks, paper, pencils, etc.) that students will need for class will be supplied by the school system again this year. We hope this alleviates some of the back-to-school shopping stress for you and your family! Notes from the nurse: All medications must be picked up by May 24, 2024. Anything remaining will be destroyed. BCSS does not provide over the counter medications for students. In order for your child to be given any medications at school, there are required forms to be filled out. All prescription medications require a physician order and a medication permit. These forms can be found on the Bartow County Website at www.bartow.k12.ga.us under the Parents section in Nurse/Clinic Forms. Forms for SY 2024-2025 will not be available online until after school is out of session for this year. Thank you for your cooperation. First doses of a new medication or changes in dosages should be given at home to monitor for possible side effects. No medications can be transported to and from school on the bus. Please contact your school nurse with questions.
Do you know a 4 year old through 5th grader who needs swimming lessons? AHS Swim Team members will be teaching swim classes at AHS this summer.

You'll receive an email confirming if your child has a spot or has been added to the waitlist. payment will be due in full ($50) on the first day of the camp. Sessions: for each week there will be 3 sessions each night. Session 1: 3-5pm, Session 2: 4-5pm, Session 3: 5-6pm; Swim lessons for ages 4 year old through 5th grade; must be potty trained; Expectation: team swimmers, under the instruction of Coach Barnett, will be teaching the lessons. We will have a lifeguard on duty for additional safety.
