Our Pre-K students had a special visit from Mrs. Stephanie Morrow (local baker and owner of Baby Cakes by Stephanie) this past Wednesday. Mrs. Stephanie talked about the different measuring tools she uses and passed them around for students to see the numbers (math connection). She also explained the process to make the pastry for the apple pies she made (Pre-K has been studying apples). She even made a mini apple pie for each student! Students took turns operating the pastry press, used a rolling pin with the pastry, and helped peel apples. Thank you Mrs. Stephanie for such an awesome visit!
