If your child came home today clutching an onion like it’s the prize of the century… don’t panic. They were not bartering snacks or starting a cooking revolution. This is *educational enrichment* at its finest!
Because we like to keep things flavorful, students are bringing home an onion and a recipe for French onion soup. Yes, really.
So tonight, instead of the usual “What's for dinner?" you can say "Soup's on!"

The Jimmy Baker Scholarship (College or Trade School) A $500 scholarship is being offered to a deserving former HCES student to honor the late Mr. Jimmy Baker. At the time of his passing, Mr. Jimmy was the head custodian at Hamilton Crossing Elementary School and had worked there for 15 years. He was kindhearted, giving, uplifting, and funny. He was known for reminding people, “You are doing a good job”.

Yesterday our school brought the energy with an exciting **pep rally** to get 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students pumped for state testing starting **Monday**! 💥 Our awesome high school basketball team stopped by to cheer on our students, and each grade level brought the spirit with fun games and lots of smiles!
Now it's time to show what we know! 💪

Hamilton Crossing Elementary School is hosting a Title 1 Parent & Student Event on Thursday, April 17th from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The event will feature an Internet Safety Presentation by GBI Agent April Griffith, who will discuss how to keep children safe online. Additionally, there will be transitional information and instructional learning activities to help maintain and build reading and math skills over the summer.
We went into Spring Break with egg hunts and our 3rd Annual Pie In The Face fundraiser for teacher appreciation. Thank you Ms. Lochridge, Ms. Shoop, Ms. Felker, Mr. West, Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Gilliam for being good sports.
