Drumming Up Character!

This past Tuesday, our students enjoyed School Drum Day! Mr. Steve at Dancing Drum led our students through rhythms and songs about fairness, responsibility, teamwork, and caring for others. It was truly a "drum"-atic event with fun had by all!

🌸🐝 Second Grade Scientists at Work! 🐞🌼

Our second graders were buzzing with excitement this week as they took part in the Great Southeast Pollinator Census, a citizen science project created by the University of Georgia. With clipboards in hand, they observed and counted pollinators like bees, butterflies, and beetles right in our school garden—just like real scientists!

This hands-on project gave students the chance to contribute valuable data toward understanding pollinator populations across the Southeast. Not only did they learn why pollinators are vital to food systems and ecosystems, but they also played a role in raising awareness and helping scientists track changes over time.

We’re so proud of our students for demonstrating curiosity, teamwork, and a love for nature. Way to go, second grade! 🌿✨
