Our 3rd - 5th grade Gateway students visited Cass High for their World Wide Expedition hosted by the International Studies Magnet Program. They learned all about the culture, food, games, and fun facts of several countries.

BOGO Book Fair is back!
Our Scholastic BOGO Book fair will be May 2 - 5.
Though this is a not-for-profit book fair, it is a GREAT opportunity to get books for summer reading.
All books and accessories will be BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE.
The fair will be open during the school day until 3:00 pm.
The BOGO book fair will also be open on Friday, May 6th during Field Day activities.

Elrod Press April Edition
Over the past few weeks, the 4th graders researched Famous Historians from the 4th grade Social Studies standards. From the research, they constructed a Bottle Buddy of the assigned historian and created a PowerPoint/Poster.
On Tuesday, March 29th, the students transformed as their historian to present their projects to their peers and other school personnel.

Congratulations to our First LEGO League Robotics team, Cargo Crew!
The WES team has practiced hard all year and made an amazing showing on Saturday at Georgia Highlands College among 18 elementary and middle schools in Bartow County.
Cargo Crew competed in four categories during the competition: Core Values, Innovation Project, Robot Design, and Robot Game.
The team brought home the 1st place trophy for Robot Design and Grand Champion - Overall - 2nd Place trophy.
We are so proud of all of their hard work and perseverance this year.

Exceptions to the times above are:

* Friday, Feb. 25th, we will be open until 7 pm during the PTO Glow Party.

Through the Get Georgia Reading Literacy Initiative, the Bartow County School system has used a portion of the grant funds to purchase a winter/holiday book for every preschool and kindergarten student in Bartow County.
These books will be going home with our White Elementary students today.
