This week our small groups will look a little different as we play festive “Reindeer Games”! Each activity is designed to support Georgia Pre-K STEM skills through hands-on, playful learning:
Ornament Mazes – Children practice problem-solving, spatial awareness, and critical thinking as they navigate mazes. (Science/Engineering)
Candy Cane Fishing – Builds fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and early measurement concepts as children experiment with different tools and strategies. (Engineering/Math)
Christmas Tree Building – Encourages engineering design, balance, and planning as children construct trees using cups and Pom Pom's. . (Engineering/Math)
Pin the Nose on Rudolph – Supports spatial reasoning, observation skills, and following directions. (Science/Math)
These activities promote collaboration, experimentation, and problem-solving, aligning with GA Pre-K’s focus on learning through play while keeping the holiday spirit alive 🎄🦌

We've been working on bead sculptures this week. During the bead sculpture activity, children apply engineering through design and problem-solving, express creativity through art, and use math concepts such as counting and patterning—all while strengthening fine-motor skills. Students said, "I'm an artist!" and encouraged each other through the building process.

We’re thrilled to reveal our new STEAM logo and Engineering Design Process (EDP) design as we officially launch the next step of our journey at Adairsville Elementary School — moving from STEM to STEAM!
The “A” stands for Arts, representing creativity, design, and expression — all essential parts of innovation and problem-solving. By integrating the arts into science, technology, engineering, and math, we’re empowering students to think critically and creatively.
A huge thank you to our STEAM Subcommittee for the thoughtful feedback and to Mrs. Candis Roberson for designing our new EDP model. Our process is guided by the TIGERS acronym, reminding students that learning is a continuous cycle of curiosity, creativity, and growth.
We can’t wait to see our students bring STEAM to life this year at AES!

There’s no place like home — and no place like Adairsville’s Halloween on the Square! AES, in partnership with Bartow County School System, will be handing out candy and books for all the little ghouls and goblins.

Adairsville Elementary School, in partnership with the City of Adairsville, invites our community to the Annual Veterans Day Program on November 11 at 9:00 AM in the AES Cafeteria. Let’s come together to celebrate and thank those who have served our country! ❤️🤍💙

Be LOUD! Be PROUD! Ms. Diehl and Ms. Burdge's classes were treated with cotton candy for spelling out Perfect Attendance.
