From PREK: Mrs. Yates and Mrs. Beck
We've been working on bead sculptures this week. During the bead sculpture activity, children apply engineering through design and problem-solving, express creativity through art, and use math concepts such as counting and patterning—all while strengthening fine-motor skills. Students said, "I'm an artist!" and encouraged each other through the building process.

We’re thrilled to reveal our new STEAM logo and Engineering Design Process (EDP) design as we officially launch the next step of our journey at Adairsville Elementary School — moving from STEM to STEAM!
The “A” stands for Arts, representing creativity, design, and expression — all essential parts of innovation and problem-solving. By integrating the arts into science, technology, engineering, and math, we’re empowering students to think critically and creatively.
A huge thank you to our STEAM Subcommittee for the thoughtful feedback and to Mrs. Candis Roberson for designing our new EDP model. Our process is guided by the TIGERS acronym, reminding students that learning is a continuous cycle of curiosity, creativity, and growth.
We can’t wait to see our students bring STEAM to life this year at AES!
