Students in Mr. Langstons Pre-AP Chemistry class concluded their discussions on heating curves and dimensional analysis with a cool lab. Making table-top ice cream they were able to observe a freezing point depression in action and conduct some calculations to determine the correct ratios for their sweet treats. Turns out sometimes you can eat what you make in science. 🧬 🍦

Congratulations to the CTAE Student of the Month, Jacob Anglin!
Jacob is a tremendous leader in our FFA chapter and has quickly become someone his teachers can always count on. He is never afraid of hard work and is always willing to jump in and help, whether that means preparing for an FFA event, helping around the classroom, assisting other students, or simply taking care of something that needs to be done.
Jacob leads by example and does not hesitate to take responsibility or step up when his chapter needs him. He genuinely cares about our Agriculture program and wants to see our FFA chapter succeed. His work ethic, dependability, and willingness to help others make him an invaluable part of our program. We are very fortunate to have a student like Jacob who is willing to go above and beyond and contribute so much to our Agriculture and CTAE programs.

Adairsville High School is proud to present our September employee of the month to Tracey Koehler. Mrs. Koehler is nothing short of a miracle worker with the strides our students are making in her speech classes. She always goes the extra mile by joining her students in their regular classes and field trips. We are so proud she is part of our AHS family. Congratulations!
Today we launched our weekly Bartow Cares lessons. It is designed to help participants “embrace the joy of being truly understood” and to transform everyday interactions into caring relationships.

During Adairsville High School's STEAM Walk, leaders from Bartow County, Fulton County, and GaDOE visit 12 classrooms and engage in collaborative discussions about the growth of STEAM education and the pursuit of State STEAM certification. Observations of Tier 1 instruction highlight AHS's commitment to providing relevant, student-centered learning experiences as students collaborate, ask questions, think critically through productive struggles, defend their reasoning, and share journals that reflect their thinking and learning processes.

Bioglow Kickoff
AHS teachers participated in professional learning focused on text sets and multimodal texts to strengthen student literacy and engagement across content areas. Our Literacy Coach, Christy McCormick, delivered key aspects of texts sets and multimodal texts. This work directly supports our district priorities by enhancing Tier 1 instruction, investing in high-quality professional learning, and creating meaningful learning experiences that promote student attendance and success.
Our students had the opportunity to hear from our Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) representative, about SCAD’s programs, opportunities, and potential careers after graduation. Many students met with the representative after the presentation to ask questions and learn more about what SCAD has to offer.
AHS Teacher of the Year, Dr. Natalie Crosby, participated in a cohort through Georgia Tech bringing manufacturing skills to the high school classroom. See the article linked below!
