🪿 Silly Goose - You have to come to school! We miss you when you aren't here! This year, we are focusing on the importance of strong student attendance with the help of Gertie the Goose. Each week, Gertie will honk with happiness for classes with great attendance. Today, Gertie visited the K-2 classroom with the best attendance last week and the 3-5 classroom with the best attendance. Mrs. James' 2nd grade and Mrs. Roberts' 3rd grade students were excited to have Gertie stop by and recognize their achievement! 🪿

🔔🏫🍎 Last night was the Bartow County School System's Teacher of the Year Banquet. We were so happy to have another chance to honor Mrs. Bell. Thank you, Mrs. Bell, for inspiring our students each and every day! 🍎🏫🔔

Under the Sea: Dive into Reading Book Fair — A Heartfelt Thank You As our Under the Sea: Dive into Reading Book Fair came to a close, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the overwhelming love and support I’ve received throughout the week. Your kind words, encouragement, and joyful participation have truly humbled me. While these fairs do help raise funds for our school, that’s only a small part of why I pour my heart into them. As a little girl, I remember the magic of the book fair—the excitement, the wonder, the joy of discovering new stories. Today, I get to witness that same sparkle in the eyes of your children, and it fills me with immeasurable joy and blessings. This year’s fair was a beautiful success, and that’s thanks to our incredible HCES community—our parents, students, and staff. It takes time, energy, and a whole lot of teamwork to bring a fair to life, and I could not do it without the amazing volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes. To each person that spent money and To each person who gave their time, thank you. A special shout-out to our decorating crew (Jamie Pavao, Courtney Landers, Nikki Lively, Julie Collier, Lisa Wilder, and Nicole Blue) who transformed our space into an enchanting underwater world and brought my vision to life. I’m especially grateful to Julie Collier, Ms. Shoop, and Mrs. Robertson for their unwavering support throughout the entire week. And heartfelt thanks to Julie Collier, Jessica Henderson, and her son Jeremy for staying late to help box up the fair—your dedication did not go unnoticed. HCES families, you are truly the best. We made over $4000 which goes to support our students and staff with literacy programs, technology, and books to name a few. Please know how thankful I am for another joyful, memorable book fair. Howdy HCES!! Cass High School will celebrate homecoming week September 15th-19th Western Style!!! A parade will be at 6PM on Tuesday evening downtown and the Colonels will take on Cedartown Friday night!! We will participate in the fun of homecoming week to support the Colones and have a blowout spirit day that Friday!! 💙💛

We will begin at 5:30pm in the cafeteria with our Annual Title I Meeting, then transition to your child’s classroom so teachers can share important information and grade level specifics beginning at 6:00 pm.

Bartow County Public Library would like to invite our families to STEM night. It's right around the corner! It's Thurs, August 21st from 4 - 7:30 p.m. They will be showing their new Tech Lab, hands-on STEM activities, drones, and more! They will also be celebrating Booksby's birthday from 6 - 7 p.m. and kids can get a FREE picture book of their choice.

Open House is MONDAY! We can't wait to see you! 🌟 Please note that our very own Nurse Terresa will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding her clinic and will also accept your student's prescription medications, pertinent doctor's notes, etc. 🌟 Also, our After School Program registration will officially open during Open House. You must pay a $10 deposit per child in order to officially register and save your student's spot. We have 125 openings for ASP, so be sure to register early if you plan to use this service. Students who are not registered may not attend ASP. 🌟 Good news! You have another chance to nab one! We have very few (only 26 available!) to sell at Open House this year. They will be $30 each - cash only, exact amount (we will not be able to make change or accept checks). We will not be able to sell you a yearbook if you do not have the exact amount in cash. 💵 ⚠️ This is first come, first served...and when the limited number are gone, we will discontinue sales....so be sure to come early if you are interested in purchasing! 🛑 See you soon!
