Under the Sea: Dive into Reading Book Fair — A Heartfelt Thank You
As our Under the Sea: Dive into Reading Book Fair came to a close, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the overwhelming love and support I’ve received throughout the week. Your kind words, encouragement, and joyful participation have truly humbled me.
While these fairs do help raise funds for our school, that’s only a small part of why I pour my heart into them. As a little girl, I remember the magic of the book fair—the excitement, the wonder, the joy of discovering new stories. Today, I get to witness that same sparkle in the eyes of your children, and it fills me with immeasurable joy and blessings.
This year’s fair was a beautiful success, and that’s thanks to our incredible HCES community—our parents, students, and staff. It takes time, energy, and a whole lot of teamwork to bring a fair to life, and I could not do it without the amazing volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes.
To each person that spent money and To each person who gave their time, thank you. A special shout-out to our decorating crew (Jamie Pavao, Courtney Landers, Nikki Lively, Julie Collier, Lisa Wilder, and Nicole Blue) who transformed our space into an enchanting underwater world and brought my vision to life. I’m especially grateful to Julie Collier, Ms. Shoop, and Mrs. Robertson for their unwavering support throughout the entire week. And heartfelt thanks to Julie Collier, Jessica Henderson, and her son Jeremy for staying late to help box up the fair—your dedication did not go unnoticed.
HCES families, you are truly the best. We made over $4000 which goes to support our students and staff with literacy programs, technology, and books to name a few. Please know how thankful I am for another joyful, memorable book fair.
With love and appreciation,
Mrs. Collett
