A BIG SHOUT OUT to the CHS Band!
Thank you for coming to escort our students this week for our First Annual Academic Parade and our 5th Grade Walk.
Everyone LOVES marching bands and it makes all the events even more special!

Fifth Grade students took their "final" walk through the halls of WES surrounded by staff, students, family and friends. Many classes created signs and cheered them on to their new middle school adventure.
Congratulations, Fifth Grade, Class of 2030!!!

Registration for Supplies 4 Success is now open.

Nothing's better than books!
PreK and K classes had a visit with the Bookmobile today! Every student will bring home a special backpack full of books for summer reading.

Dedicated Warriors!
The 2023 WES yearbook, The Warrior, is dedicated to Mrs. Lannette Layton and Sandra Shiflett.
We are grateful for both their dedication to WES and their impact on the WES family.

A BIG Thank You to Faith Methodist Church Cartersville
for providing lunch to our high school volunteers during field day today! 🙂

Come and celebrate our Warriors' academic growth this year!

Field Day at WES was full of fun, games, and smiles today!

The April #BartowCares4U word of the month was comfort. We are proud to announce the WES Students of the Month that exemplify this word. These students were recognized on the morning announcements, presented with a certificate and brag tag, and were invited to a breakfast sponsored by the Amerson Family.

April 29th is our 3rd Annual Red Apple Run 5K and 1.5 Mile Walk to benefit Bartow Education Foundation.
Last year’s 5K was a success, and we raised around $16,000. The 5K and Walk will be held again at Hamilton Crossing Park with the Start and Finish Lines and Award Ceremony at Cass Middle School Track. We will have our school competition again this year, and your school could win $500. Most importantly, the money raised for this 5K and Walk goes directly to the Teacher Grants to reward innovation in the classroom.
Even if you do not plan to walk or run, you can still participate as a Ghost Runner and will receive the 2023 T-shirt. WES would like to encourage our parents and staff to participate in this event so our school can win $500! Make sure to fill out the School Affiliation line when you register online so your school wins:
You can register at RedAppleRun.org

Attention Rising 5th Graders!

Please join us in congratulating Gabriel for placing 1st in Cat Care for the 4-H Project Achievement.
Project Achievement is one of the largest and most exciting, challenging and rewarding programs offered by Georgia 4-H. 4-H’ers choose a project area of interest, research a topic, then write and present an oral presentation to others. The project achievement process is about hands on learning, self-confidence, and sharing knowledge.
