So proud of Riley Pope for representing Adairsville at the Area FFA Discussion Meet! 💙💛

Riley placed 3rd overall out of 15 students from schools across Northwest Georgia!

Students discussed important topics like the impact of urban sprawl on farmland and how farmers can balance environmental stewardship with financial sustainability. Riley did an outstanding job communicating ideas and advocating for agriculture.

A big takeaway is the role organizations like Farm Bureau play in supporting farmers and promoting the future of agriculture.

We are so proud of you, Riley!

Today our Animal Science students had the opportunity to visit Katie Colin Farm in Kingston for a real-world look at the beef industry! Students learned about beef production practices, Angus genetics, and how Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs) are used to make breeding decisions that improve herd quality and performance.

Getting outside the classroom and onto working farms helps students connect what we’re learning in class to the real agricultural operations happening right here in our community. We are so thankful to Katie Colin Farm for opening their gates and sharing their knowledge with our students!

Experiences like this help inspire the next generation of agricultural leaders. 🐮

Adairsville High School junior and Adairsville FFA Vice President, Riley Pope, has been selected as a Washington Leadership Conference (WLC) Scholarship recipient by the Georgia FFA Foundation. Only 22 students in the entire state of Georgia were selected for this prestigious opportunity.

The Washington Leadership Conference is one of the premier leadership experiences offered through the National FFA Organization. Each summer, FFA members from across the country travel to Washington, D.C. for an intensive week focused on leadership development, service-learning, and personal growth. Throughout the conference, students explore how to create positive change in their communities through the Living to Serve initiative, while also experiencing our nation’s capital and learning about the impact of agriculture on a national level.

Riley has already demonstrated incredible leadership within our chapter, and we are excited to see how this experience will continue to shape him as a leader and advocate for agriculture.

Please join us in congratulating Riley on this outstanding accomplishment! 👏💙💛

Last night, three members of the Adairsville FFA chapter competed in the Area Speaking Contest, and we are incredibly proud of how they represented our program!

🌟 Cadey Evans competed in the Creed Speaking contest and did a fantastic job representing our chapter. Competing in speaking events takes courage, preparation, and confidence, and Cadey stepped up to the challenge.

🇻🇪 Jose Graciani Moreno made Bartow County history as the first student to ever compete in the Spanish Creed Speaking Contest — and he didn’t just compete… he placed 3rd overall in the area! We are so proud of Jose for paving the way and representing Adairsville FFA so well.

🎤 Savannah Viktora competed in Extemporaneous Speaking, where she was named a finalist and will move on to compete in the Area Finals in two weeks!

Please join us in congratulating these students for their hard work, bravery, and dedication to representing Adairsville FFA! 💙💛
