Bartow Cares Essay Winner!
Congratulations to Brayce-Lynn Reynolds who was the winner of the Bartow Cares Essay contest for the second nine weeks! She won four free tickets to see the Harlem Globetrotters Basketball Team at Lake Point. The Bartow Cares word for the past term was "Gratitude," and students were asked to write about someone in their lives for whom they are extremely grateful. Brayce-Lynn wrote an awesome tribute to Scott Blackman, Bartow County Resource Officer at Adairsville Middle School. Officer Blackman was able to attend the game with Brayce-Lynn and her family. A great time was had by all! Congratulations, Brayce-Lynn!

On Wednesday, Feb. 4, several leaders from our AHS student organizations had the incredible opportunity to visit the State Capitol and truly “Rep-the-A” with policymakers in Atlanta.

Representatives from FFA, SkillsUSA, and TSA met with Rep. Mitchell Scoggins, TSA Executive Director Steve Price, SkillsUSA Executive Director Ashley Acuff, Georgia DOE Program Specialist Tim Vinson, and state-level student leaders from their respective organizations. These meaningful conversations provided valuable insight into leadership, advocacy, and the impact students can have beyond the classroom.

The trip concluded with a tour of the Capitol and a visit to the Senate Gallery, where students observed our senators in action — an inspiring experience that brought government to life.

To say we are proud is truly an understatement.

This incredible young lady, Natalie Wade, works hard at everything she does. Yesterday, she was officially sworn into the National Guard and will attend basic training this summer—what an amazing accomplishment!

Natalie is not only a dedicated SkillsUSA member, but also an active member of Adairsville High School’s JROTC. She has big dreams and clear goals, and she’s already taking meaningful steps to turn them into reality.

If you see Natalie please be sure to congratulate her on this outstanding achievement!
