Congratulations to our Marching Tigers!
They traveled to Scottsboro, Alabama and attended the Where the Mountains Meet the Lakes Marching Band Competion and received the following awards:
All superior ratings in the areas of Drum Major, Majorettes, Colorguard, Percussion, and Band
Best in Class AAA Drum Major-Jocee Wilson, Colorguard, Percussion, Soloist - Hunter West and Band
The Marching Tigers also received the Most Entertaining Band of the Day

"On Saturday, November 23rd, New Frontier's Annual Feed the Community Dinner, In Honor of Michael Dean will return. The dinner will be held 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Cartersville Civic Center located at 435 West Main Street. The event will feature a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, as well as other services including blood pressure checks, free clothing, and free haircuts. The dinner is open to everyone in the community including our senior citizens, shelter residents, families, veterans, or those just wishing to fellowship with their neighbor. Free transportation is being provided by Bartow Transit to and from the event. To schedule a pickup call 770-387-5165 at least two days before the day of the event."

The AHS Book Club will have an interest meeting on Monday, October 14 during Tiger Time. This club is for those interested in reading, sharing and taking part in school literacy activities. Please help support this cause. As you can see, we turned this into a competition with the hope that we fill the semi that leaves for Asheville this Friday. I know it's short notice, but I have faith our community can get it done and support the families in North Carolina who are in dire need of supplies. GO TIGERS!!
Senior, Vivian Reyes was selected to serve on the Student Advisory Committee for the State Department of Education. Vivian is a very involved student at Adairsville High School, and we are so proud of her. An article about Vivian will be coming soon.
