Area Traditional Champs

The AHS Competition Cheer Team placed 6th in state Saturday, November 11th. Congrats to these ladies for their dedication and hard work this season.

November is National Runaway and Homeless Youth Awareness Month. To help raise awareness for youth homelessness, Advocates for Children is conducting a toiletry drive. Items needed are shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, soap, body wash, and toothpaste. All donations can be turned into the guidance office no later than November 17th.

From Skills USA Leader, Kevin Goble:
What can I say about these students. We went to Rome to the AGC skills challenge, and the event also doubled as the regional event, for SkillsUSA. We competed in masonry, carpentry, electrical, blueprint reading, plumbing, and welding.
So, after all the smoke and saw dust was over the Adairsville high construction program walked away with not 1 but 3 region champs.
Oliver Flores won Masonry
Wade Griffin Back to Back region champ in plumbing
Damion Martin in carpentry
And Natalie Wade will be headed to state in plumbing with a 3rd place win.
I am beyond excited and proud of these students.
Thank you to all of the sponsors that have help us this far and now to get these students ready for state in February.

Best of luck to our competition cheerleaders as they compete in the state finals tomorrow at 10:00 in Macon! Congratulations to our seniors, Lex Gallimore, Chloe Tomlinson, Macy Wilson and Kiele Bagby.

Save the date!

Back to Back Region Champs!

JROTC Boys bring home the state championship

Bartow Collaborative is in need of volunteers for the Reality Store.
The Reality Store is a financial simulation that allows students to learn more about career planning, money management budgeting, and decision-making. Students go through the process of choosing a career, receiving a "paycheck," and learning to budget their pay to meet monthly expenses, along with unexpected expenses.
There will be three mornings during the first two weeks of November for you to volunteer. Thursday, November 2, Tuesday, November 7, and Thursday, November 9 at the Bartow County College and Career Academy located at 738 Grassdale Rd NW, Cartersville, GA 30121 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. will be the dates, times, and location for each event. Please consider helping our young students prepare for the reality of life and build resiliency before those major decisions are required for them to make.
Attached is a Google Sign-up. Please fill out the form and select each day to serve your community by supporting the development of these students.
