7th grade social studies utilized stations to review before their Unit 2 CSA: Economies of SW Asia. Students traveled to three different stations during the class period. During the stations, they role played as OPEC member nations, analyzed factors of economic growth, and identified economic systems based on real world examples. Our students did so well with these learning targets, and we are so proud of their progress!

Fall Festival Fun Scheduled For October 30
Our Fall Festival will be held during Connections on Friday, October 30. You'll need either 75 PBIS points or have perfect attendance between October 1 and October 29. Students with both 75 PBIS points and perfect attendance will receive a mystery goodie bag. The Fall Festival will feature arts and crafts, fun activities and time with friends. Students will be able to purchase refreshments at the festival. Hair coloring and selfie pictures will also be available for only $1. Cash only please. Students in Mrs. Smith's 6th grade science class created edible soil profiles in the lab. The edible soil profile lab helps students understand that soil is a product of long-term Earth processes such as weathering, erosion, deposition, and decomposition, while providing an engaging, hands-on model. This lab helps students visualize how soil forms and changes over time. And of course, they also got to eat their soil profiles at the end of the lab!

Youth night at the WHS football game was so much fun. Our 8th grade football team, band and cheerleaders were recognized and participated in the pregame ceremony. The WHS wrestling team was recognized at halftime also. So proud of all these groups.
