Woodland Middle School Family: We have had a great week of learning at WMS. I hope you have had a productive week as well. We want to wish our students and families an enjoyable spring break next week. We are out on break April 6 - 10, 2026. Students will return on Monday, April 13, 2026. Enjoy this time with your family. Do some fun activities and make some great memories. When we return from this break we will have a laser-like focus getting prepared for Milestones assessments and then the end of the year will be upon us before we realize it. This break is much needed by all and well-deserved. Enjoy this weather, get some rest, and have some fun! See everyone after Spring Break! #TheWoodlandWayEveryStudentEveryDay

Good afternoon WMS family: We just had emergency responders on our campus a few moments ago. This was in response to a wreck further down Euharlee Road. They were going to do a Life Flight Evacuation from our football field but decided on another location. All of our students are safe and sound. We are on our normal schedule.

WMS Family: We would like to inform our WMS family and community that our lockdown system was inadvertently activated a few moments ago. Our teachers, staff and students responded appropriately. All students and staff are safe. There is no cause for alarm. Although this was not an emergency, our staff and students did treat it as such and took appropriate precautions. We are now resuming our normal school schedule.

Today was a special day for one of our staff members. Mr. Herbert Perkinson, one of our custodians, turned 88 years young today. Mr. Herbert works circles around the rest of us every day. He takes pride in our school. He loves our students and loves our staff. He epitomizes "The Woodland Way." We hope you had a wonderful 88th birthday Mr. Herbert. #TheWoodlandWayEveryStudentEveryDay

We had a special guest in FCA this morning. Sacovie White-Helton, Cass High graduate and current UGA wide receiver, spoke to our students.
