Mrs. Kirkwood and several of our chorus members are in Athens at All State Chorus. So proud of them. Way to go! #TheWoodlandWay

Our teachers and staff received a surprise treat yesterday. We had an ice cream bar. And it was yummy! What a great way to finish the week as we head into Winter Break! #TheWoodlandWay

Yesterday was School Resource Officer Appreciation Day. We are so proud to have Officer Nick Thompson as our SRO. We appreciate him. He was treated to some doughnuts and a pig-in-a-blanket from Daylight Donuts. #TheWoodlandWay

Congrats to our PBIS Rewards student of the week, Fallon Dolce. Way to go sir! Who's next?

You never know when our superintendent, Mr. Clint Terza, may show up. We are always so glad to welcome him when he does. We are proud of the good work our students, teachers and staff do every day. On Thursday, he stopped by just to thank Ms. Terri Smith, our attendance clerk and front office administrative assistant , for all her hard work and dedicated years of service. #TheWoodlandWay

A great time was had by all at our Valentine's dance. Thanks to our cheer team for sponsoring. #TheWoodlandWay

Hat day Friday. Tomorrow, 2/14/25. For the low, low price of only $1. Bring a dollar and wear your favorite school-appropriate hat. Hat stickers will be sold on the main hall and at the bus ramp. #TheWoodlandWay

We will have Martin's biscuits for sale on Friday morning, 2/14/25. We will have sausage and chicken. They will be $5 each. They will be available in the carpool lane and at the bus ramp. This is to support our Bartow County team representing our school system in Cartersville Dances with the Stars. We are proud of BCSS's own Eric Elrod (Assistant Principal at AMS) and Amanda Elrod (principal at WES), who will be representing our system in this great event. Cartersville Dances with the Stars raises money for two great organizations in Bartow County, Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter and Backpack Buddies. Get a biscuit on Friday and support these great causes. #TheWoodlandWay

Our baseball season got under way yesterday. Our first game was at home against Rome. The crack of the bat and the pop of the glove is a sweet sound to hear at this time of the year. And to top it off, they came home with a great win. The Wildcats defeated the Wolves 12-1. Great job Wildcats. #TheWoodlandWay
