Counselor's Corner Mrs. Guse

Counselor's corner

Hello everyone,

My name is Marcia Guse (pronounced Marsha Goozee). I was born in Saint Louis, Missouri but was raised in Brazil, speaking Portuguese.  In 2001 my family moved to America where I learned English, became an ESOL teacher, and I’m now a School Counselor.  My degree in Counseling is from the University of West Georgia.  I am married, and my husband is an educator as well.  I have 3 grown kids whose names are Martin, Anderson, and Bruno. I became a counselor because I have a passion for helping others, and an elementary school counselor because I can combine my experience of teaching with counseling which always works hand in hand. This is the age group I love to work with. Things I love to do: read, walk in the park, go to the beach, swim, and watch movies in the theater.  I also speak Spanish.

Please reach out to me anytime you or your child needs anything.

Small Groups

There are several group opportunities for your child: Rainbows (Grieving), anger management, being more assertive (for shy students), organization, how to make friends, etc.

If you would like your child to be in one of these groups, or if you think your child could benefit from anything else, send me an email: marcia.guse@bartow.k12.ga.us
